1. Who we are
Requestline is operated by Fraze Media LLC ("Fraze Media", "we", "us"). For the personal data we collect about DJs who sign up for Requestline and the guests who submit song requests, Fraze Media LLC acts as the data controller.
2. What we collect and why
We collect the following categories of personal data:
- Account data — name, email address, login credentials. Used to create and secure your account and to provide the service. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
- Event data — event name, date, the couple's names and email address (if provided), do-not-play list. Used to operate the live request page and to send the optional Music Memory keepsake email. Legal basis: performance of a contract / legitimate interests.
- Guest request data — name (optional), message (optional), song title and artist, an anonymous device fingerprint used to prevent abuse. Used to display requests to the DJ and to deliver the Music Memory. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
- Support communications — messages you send to us. Used to respond to your inquiry. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
- Usage and device data — IP address, browser type, basic telemetry. Used for security, fraud prevention, and product improvement. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
3. Who we share data with
We share personal data only with the following categories of recipients:
- Service providers (subprocessors) — hosting, database, email delivery, and analytics providers that operate the service on our behalf under appropriate contractual safeguards.
- Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of subscriptions, subscription management, payments, tax compliance, and invoicing. Paddle's processing of payment data is governed by Paddle's own privacy notice.
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where reasonably necessary.
- Authorities where we are required to disclose information by law.
We do not sell personal data.
4. International transfers
Our service providers may process data in countries outside your own. Where personal data is transferred from the UK or EEA to another country, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.
5. Data retention
We keep account and event data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with our legal obligations and resolve disputes. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, port, or object to our processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. EU/UK residents additionally have the right to lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority. We aim to respond to rights requests within one month.
7. Security
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and isolated database row-level security so that DJs can only access their own events.
8. Cookies
We use only essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to operate the service. We do not use advertising cookies. If we add analytics cookies in the future, we will update this notice and provide a way to manage your preferences.
